About the Operation > RFO Activity

The INTERREG IIIC Programme is dedicated to interregional cooperation, whose aim is establishing relations and encouraging exchanges of experience and good practices between regions of all EU Members States.
The Interreg IIIC introduced a new way of cooperation between local authorities: RFO (Regional Framework Operation).
The RFO Partners consist in different European countries which offer financial resources to local authorities (Municipality, Province, Territorial and Research bodies) in order to draft projects in collaboration with other partners belonging to the European Region.

This overall framework allows to share, transfer and apply technical know-how and to develop new and innovative solutions for common problems. Through meetings a wide dissemination of outputs and results achieved under this RFO is ensured.

The RFO cooperation framework consists of five types of activities
