On October 10th and 11th, the splendid Antonino Salinas Archaeological Museum provided the framework for the 6th ProgreSDEC Technical Meeting and Steering Committee. Representatives from the project consortium included, beyond of course the Leading Partner Latium Region, the Piedmonte and Sicilian regions from Italy, The Regions of Western and Central Macedonia in Greece, the Govierno de Navarra and the Comunidad de Madrid from Spain, and the research centre IRS located in Berlin. On October 12th, following the ProgreSDEC project meeting and Sub-project workshop, an international seminar was held on the there: “Experimenting Territorial Innovation: Capitalising on the ProgreSDEC Experience”. This seminar aimed to confron the experiences gained in the ProgreSDEC Sub-projects, considered as “strategic territorial laboratories” governed by the inter-regional framework operation network, in terms of the key issues currently facing regional planning. The first day of the meeting: Experimenting Territorial Innovation – Capitalising on the PROGRESDEC Experience, which was held in Palermo on the 12th and the 13th of October 2007, was dedicated to the so-called Sub-project Workshop.
This workshop has been conceived as a first outcome and an overview of the Progresdec experience. The lead partner of each sub-project was asked to answer some questions regarding his own project and specifically: which are the results, which are the tools, which are the chances of innovation, which are the future perspectives?. The final meeting of Colore project took place the 19th and 20th November near the centre of the University Pole of Vecchiarelli Palace in Rieti. At the meeting all representatives of the involved partners took part: Comunitad Alto Jarama (Spain), Commune of Novi Ligure, Diadyma Sa (Greece), Province of Ragusa and the Province of Rieti (project leader), with the support of the University Roma3 DipSU and the presence of the representatives of the University "La Sapienza " of Rome and of BIC Lazio. In the context of Activity 6 of the CIPROGIS project a 1-day Workshop was organized and implemented for the demonstration of the Pilot Platforms to local & regional interested parties. During the Workshop, which took place in Thessaloniki in 27/11/2007, a presentation was made of the full potential of the pilot application, initiating public consultation for the recognition of synergies and possible cooperation initiatives that can be achieved among partners. Moreover, extended discussion took place among participants on civil protection issues and methodologies, in parallel with the promotion of conclusions and results of the project that can support better spatial planning and programming, taking into consideration the dangers each of the participating regions face. Within the context of dissemination and mainstreaming of the CULTISM project, a Conference was organized upon completion of the project (27/11/2007) in Thessaloniki. The Conference attended a great number of participants from local authorities, enterprises, tourism operators, research institutions, cultural organizations etc. During the conference an extended presentation of completed project activities, results and expected impacts took place, giving special emphasis on the presentation of the Master Plans for Cultural Tourism per region. On last November 22 has been held in the Regional Natural Reserve Tevere-Farfa of Nazzano the local Final Meeting of the Sub-Project GATE-INN. The Conference, even if an action planned at local level, hosted the project leader represented by the Department of Macedonia and Thrace, as well as the other partner of the project, the Comunità Montana dei Castelli Romani and Prenestini. Lamcode’s third seminar took place on 15th and 16th October 2007 and it was hosted by the Municipality of Asti in the Piedmont region of Italy. Representative delegations of all partners, including all external assistance teams, arrived in Asti on Sunday, 14th. [+]

The common interest which at the time united RePlan’s partners, Nasursa, LGA Kozani and the Comunità Montana Castelli Romani e Prenestini was, on the one hand, to establish the implementation of measures taken by the European Spatial Development Perspective (ESPD) on a regional and local level and, on the other, to be able to lay down the requirements for the future creation of a network of observatories capable of controlling and analyzing the sustainable territorial development of European regions. The 29th of November 2007, at the presence of institutional representatives of Lazio Region, Frosinone Province, the Municipality of Paliano and the Municipality of Servia, the sub-project Rus/Urs ended in a closing meeting in Frosinone Province. [+]
