REGIONAL PLANNING SYSTEMS FACING EUROPEAN APPROACHES
1. Analysis of regional planning systems in ProgreSDEC regions
For the goal of ProgreSDEC project, organising an exchange of experiences, methods and procedures for territorial planning and policies related to selected fields of the ESDP and new Territorial Agenda, a deeper look on the spatial planning system at regional level is necessarry. Of course, the 8 partner regions from four countries are character-ized by various planning and political concepts; nevertheless there are common ap-proaches regarding regional development. Looking shortly on the changes in regional approaches, development trends aroused and fostered by European policies can be no-ticed. This leads to the question how far there is a point of convergence between re-gional and European approaches. [+]

FIRST TERRITORIAL COOPERATION PROGRAMME APPROVED BY THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION: INTERREG IVC
The interregional cooperation programme – INTERREG IVC – has been officially approved by the European Commission on 11th September 2007 in Brussels. It is the first of the territorial cooperation programmes to have received approbation. The IVC project is also main vehicle of the networking part of the Regions for economic change initiative. The programme is targeted at regions of the 27 EU Member States, plus Norway and Switzerland, to exchange their experiences and transfer good practice. [+]


FINAL CONFERENCE OF CU.T SUBPROJECT IN PAMPLONA-NAVARRA
Pamplona was the place were CU.T partners met last 25th September to celebrate the Final Conference of the subproject.
During the last year, CU.T subproject partners have worked together in order to analyse in depth their mountain areas and to propose a cultural tourism management methodology based on natural and cultural heritage intelligent management arisen from the European Spatial Development Perspective. [+]

REGIONE PIEMONTE: WORKSHOP ON STRUCTURAL FUNDS PROGRAMMING PERIOD 2007-2013
One of the main purposes of the RFO Progresdec is to give involved local authorities the chance to open their planning processes to an European scale, and to help them in framing their policies within a transnational network. [+]
PERCEIVING, READING AND LIVING LANDSCAPE
Time has almost come for making a balance of our sub-project (Landsible; soon informations on www.landsible.eu), but as a matter of fact the questions we tried to deal with are much bigger and are still at the heart of our personal involvement and interests in topics of landscape and territory management. LAST MEETING OF PROGRESLAND SUB-PROJECT
The last meeting of PROGRESLAND Sub-Project was held in Olmeda de las Fuentes (Madrid).
The 25th July, every partner took part in the technical meeting to discuss the Marketing Plan conclusions regarding scientific tourism.
We spent the afternoon in a guided visit to Alcala de Henares, which is a UNESCO world heritage site . [+]

REGENERATIONET: MUTUAL GROWTH THROUGH COLLECTIVE LEARNING
The objective of the RegeneratioNet project was to examine and compare the best experiences of three partner cities, Catania, Novara and Navalcarnero, in order to identify elements that can replicated in other environments with required adjustments. [+]


- INTERREG IIIC South South zone is organising a capitalisation seminar on 2 October 2007 in Roma (Italy). This event will gather lead partners and partners from all INTERREG IIIC South approved operations in order to exchange experiences and achievements under the INTERREG IIIC programme. During one entire day, participants will have the opportunity to form discussion groups centered around the current IIIC themes of cooperation in order to share lessons learnt and results. This seminar will also enable the projects to think about possible partnerships for the future.

- Regione Lazio has organized an “help-desk meeting” with their regional sub-project to support their technical, financial and communication activities from 5th September to 24th September 2007.
